This years Eurovision will be held on the 26th May with the all important Semi Finals taking place on Tuesday 22nd and Thursday 24th.
The theme for Eurovision 2012 is "Light Your Fire" and despite some political and economic turmoil in Europe this years contest is expected to generate the largest betting turnover in Eurovision history.
The all important running order has been made for Eurovision 2012 with the 5 automatic qualifiers and the hosts designated their position in the contest. After the Semi Finals another draw will be made to determine which qualifiers perform in which spot.
Big 6 Draw Position
01. United Kingdom
09. France
10. Italy
13. Azerbaijan
19. Spain
20. Germany
It is "felt" but not proven conclusively that an early (1 to 5) singing position is detrimental to winning Eurovision, with a later draw the song remains in voters minds.
Bookmakers react by cutting prices on those countries deemed to have received a good draw.
As you can see by the winners from the last 5 years a high draw has won Eurovision each year since 2007.
5 Year Winners Draw Position
2011: 19
2010: 22
2009: 20
2008: 24
2007: 17
