Azerbaijan

This will be the fourth Eurovision appearance for Azerbaijan, they finished a creditable 8th and then 3rd and then 5th last year.

Elnur Huseynov & Samir Javadzade sang Land Of Fire in 2008 and then in 2009 their Eurovision song was sung by Aysel and Arash. In 2010 Eurovision Azerbaijan  chose Safura Alizade singing Drip Drop. This had an excellent chance of winning the competition and did well coming 5th.

In 2011 they have again chosen well and should be applauded as a country that knows what they are doing in Eurovision. Eli & Nikki are the singers who perform the clever and interesting Running Scared.
