France have performed terribly in recent years, their last win was in 1991 performed by Amina.
Luxembourg have not competed since 1993 and all of their wins came in the early decades of the song contest.
The UK are another fading giant in Eurovision. In the 1970's you could rely on the UK being to the top of the leader board.
Since the expansion of Europe and the arrival of more counties from the former eastern bloc they UK have been marginalised.
In the last 6 contests their highest finishing position has been 16th. The last win for the UK came from Katrina and The Waves in 1997.
The Netherlands most recent win was in 1975 with the group Ding a Dong. This was the 4th triumph for the Dutch.
