Finland were the suprise winners in 2006 with the rock band Lordi and the song Hard Rock Hallelujah.

It had been placed last on many occasions and even achieved the dreaded "nil points".

Finland is often well supported by its Scandinavian and Baltic neighbours.

Finland came last in 2009.
