Israel although not strictly in Europe is a member of the European Broadcasting Union so allowed to compete in Eurovision.

The country has had good success with three wins in 1978 1979 and 1998.

The last win was controversial with transexual Dana International winning in Birmingham.

Israels 2010 Eurovision song is the ballad Milim sung by Harel Skaat. Israel could do very well and are one of the favourites.
