Eurovision

United Kingdom

The United Kingdom in 2009 pulled out all the stops in a mammoth effort to land the Eurovision odds in Moscow.

They employed composer and producer Andrew Lloyd Webber to help choose the artist and the song to represent the UK after a string of dismal finishing positions in the contest and Jade Ewan singing Its My Time finished 5th

In 2010 Pete Waterman of Stock Aitken Waterman fame, Jade Ewan,  Bruno Tonoli and the UK public choose the UK entry to win Eurovision.

It was a close run event but finally Josh Dubovie won out and he sang the specially written UK Eurovision song That Sounds Good To Me. It was a disaster coming 25th of 25.

In Eurovision 2011 Boy Band Blue were chosen by the UK to represent the country, despite being supported in the betting the boys came a disappointing 11th.

Paddy Power have an early 40/1 price on the UK winning in 2012.
